5x120 Bolt Pattern Wheels: Fitment Guide

The 5x120 bolt pattern (5x4.72 in inches) is used by 809 vehicles in our database: BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW M3, Chevrolet Camaro and more.

What 5x120 Means & What Uses It

5x120 means 5 wheel studs or bolts evenly spaced on a 120 mm (4.72") circle, written 5x4.72 in inches. In the ANKUSI fitment database it appears on 809 vehicle variants from 40 makes, model years 1968–2027.

Most common makes: BMW (325), Buick (65), Holden (61), Chevrolet (56), Rolls-Royce (49), Land Rover (43), HSV (31), Cadillac (28).

Popular models on 5x120: BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW M3, Chevrolet Camaro, BMW 1 Series, BMW 7 Series, Buick Envision, BMW 6 Series.

Center bore is not the same across 5x120 vehicles: 72.6 mm (379 vehicles), 66.9 mm (146 vehicles), 74.1 mm (24 vehicles), 64.1 mm (20 vehicles). A wheel with the right bolt pattern but the wrong center bore will not seat on the hub — it needs to be machined to the exact bore or used with a hub-centric ring. Check the model page for your exact year before ordering.

Typical fastener: M12x1.5 Bolt.

ANKUSI currently lists 1220 forged wheel designs drilled 5x120, and every design can be machined to 5x120 with your vehicle's exact center bore and offset, in 14–24 inch diameters.

Bolt pattern alone does not guarantee a correct fit — center bore, offset, and load rating still need to be confirmed per vehicle. Check our Fitment Verification Checklist before ordering, or send us your VIN or trim level and we will confirm it for you.

Vehicles Using 5x120 With a 72.6 mm Center Bore

In our database, 339 other vehicle entries from 10 makes use exactly the same 5x120 bolt pattern and 72.6 mm center bore. Factory wheels from these cars bolt on and center on the hub without rings; offset and width still have to be checked.

5x120 is used by 10.3% of the vehicle pages in our English fitment guide (670 of 6,503); 50.6% of those also use a 72.6 mm center bore.

Hub-Centric Rings for a 72.6 mm Center Bore

A wheel with a center bore larger than 72.6 mm needs a hub-centric ring. The most common combinations:

Wheel boreRing size
73.1 mm73.1 → 72.6 mm
74.1 mm74.1 → 72.6 mm
76.1 mm76.1 → 72.6 mm
78.1 mm78.1 → 72.6 mm

ANKUSI forged wheels are bored to exactly 72.6 mm for this vehicle, so no ring is needed.
