6x139.7 Wheel Interchange: Do Tacoma Wheels Fit a Silverado or Tundra?

Looking for the full spec sheet? Bolt pattern, center bore and factory offset for each year are on our Chevrolet Silverado fitment guides and Toyota Tacoma fitment guides. This article covers which wheels swap between these trucks.
6x139.7 wheel interchange is not as simple as matching six lugs. Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner and Hilux wheels have a 106.1 mm center bore, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 wheels have 78.1 mm, and the 2022 and newer Toyota Tundra sits at about 95 mm, all on the same 6x139.7 bolt circle.
A wheel with a larger bore can be centered on a smaller hub with a ring, so a Tacoma wheel can be adapted to a Silverado once the lug nut and offset checks below pass. A wheel with a smaller bore can never slide over a larger hub, so a Silverado wheel does not fit a Tacoma.
The numbers below were checked on 25 October 2026 against independent fitment databases and our own open wheel fitment dataset. They cover US-market trucks, and factory sizes vary by trim, so always compare with the wheel on your own truck.
Do Toyota and Chevrolet 6x139.7 truck wheels interchange?
Only in one direction. A wheel with a 106.1 mm Toyota bore can be centered on a 78.1 mm Chevrolet hub with a 106.1 to 78.1 mm hub ring, if the lug nuts seat and the offset clears. A 78.1 mm Chevrolet wheel cannot be mounted on a 106.1 mm Toyota hub, because its bore is smaller than the hub.
Key facts: 6x139.7 truck hubs at a glance
- One bolt circle, four bores for 6x139.7 wheel interchange: 6x139.7 (also written 6x5.5) is shared by the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (78.1 mm center bore), the Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner and Hilux (106.1 mm), the 2022 and newer Toyota Tundra (about 95 mm) and the Tesla Cybertruck (84.1 mm). Sources: wheel-sizes.com Tacoma data, limitlesstire.com Silverado data and the ANKUSI fitment database.
- Lug threads differ: the Tacoma uses M12x1.5 lug nuts, while the Silverado 1500 and the 2022 Tundra use M14x1.5. Sources: wheel-sizes.com Tacoma lug nut data, limitlesstire.com Tundra data and the ANKUSI fitment database.
- Factory offsets differ: ET24 on the Silverado 1500, ET30 on the Tacoma and ET60 on the 2022 Tundra, so a swapped wheel can sit as much as 36 mm further inboard than the original. Sources: published factory wheel lists in the Wheel-Size database and ANKUSI model pages.
Same bolt circle, four different center bores
A matching bolt pattern alone says little about fit. In the ANKUSI Wheel Fitment Dataset (version 2026.10.10), 6x139.7 appears with 17 different center bores, as shown in our wheel interchange chart. Among full-size and mid-size pickups the spread is wide, as the table shows.
| Truck | Model year checked | Bolt pattern | Center bore | Lug thread | Factory wheel and offset |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | 2016, 2022 | 6x139.7 | 78.1 mm | M14x1.5 | 17x8 ET24 |
| Chevrolet Colorado | 2023 | 6x139.7 | 78.1 mm | Check the nut | 17x8 ET33 |
| Toyota Tacoma | 2020, 2022 | 6x139.7 | 106.1 mm | M12x1.5 | 17x7.5 ET30 |
| Toyota 4Runner | 2014 | 6x139.7 | 106.1 mm | Check the nut | 17x7.5 ET15 |
| Toyota Hilux | 2021 | 6x139.7 | 106.1 mm | Check the nut | 17x7.5 ET30 |
| Toyota Tundra | 2022 | 6x139.7 | 95.1 mm (some lists round to 95.2) | M14x1.5 | 18x8 ET60 |
| Tesla Cybertruck | 2025 | 6x139.7 | 84.1 mm | Check the nut | 20x9 ET58 |

The 2023 Sequoia and the 2025 Land Cruiser 250 share the Tundra hub of about 95 mm, so everything said below about the Tundra applies to them as well.
6x139.7 wheel interchange: the hub bore rule decides the direction
A wheel is centered on the hub, so the wheel bore must be equal to or larger than the hub. When it is larger, a hub ring fills the gap and keeps the wheel centered. When it is smaller, the wheel cannot reach the hub face and stays off the car. Our guide to hub-centric and lug-centric wheels explains why the ring matters for vibration.
| Wheel from | Mounted on | Bore result | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tacoma, 4Runner, Hilux (106.1 mm) | Silverado 1500 (78.1 mm) | Ring 106.1 to 78.1 mm | Possible, after lug nut and offset checks |
| Silverado 1500 (78.1 mm) | Tacoma, 4Runner, Hilux (106.1 mm) | Bore smaller than hub | Does not fit |
| 2022 Tundra (95.1 mm) | Silverado 1500 (78.1 mm) | Ring 95.1 to 78.1 mm | Possible, but ET60 sits far inboard |
| Silverado 1500 (78.1 mm) | 2022 Tundra (95.1 mm) | Bore smaller than hub | Does not fit |
| Tacoma (106.1 mm) | 2022 Tundra (95.1 mm) | Ring 106.1 to 95.1 mm | Possible, M12 wheel on M14 studs needs a check |
| Cybertruck (84.1 mm) | Silverado 1500 (78.1 mm) | Ring 84.1 to 78.1 mm | Possible on paper, ET58 is the problem |
The Tundra row has a second trap. Older Tundras from 2007 to 2021 are 5x150, so their wheels do not bolt on at all. Our Tundra 2007-2021 versus 2022 swap check shows that comparison, and the Tacoma 2016-2023 versus 2024 check covers the generation change within Toyota.
Lug nuts: M12x1.5 on the Tacoma, M14x1.5 on the Silverado and Tundra
The thread is the second filter after the bore. A Tacoma runs M12x1.5 studs and nuts, and the Silverado 1500 and the 2022 Tundra run larger M14x1.5 studs and nuts.
The seat pocket in a wheel is machined for the nut it was designed for, so an M12 wheel on M14 studs, or the reverse, needs a conical seat check on the actual parts before it goes on the truck. Never torque a nut that does not sit fully in the seat.
A wheel bore or a nut that does not match the hub or the studs is a common reason why a swap that "should fit" ends in vibration or loose wheels. Treat the bore, the thread and the offset as one check, and use the forged wheel fitment verification checklist before you order.
Offset: how far a swapped wheel moves
Offset decides how far the wheel sits from the fender and the suspension. A higher ET pulls the wheel inboard. The table compares each donor wheel with the factory offset of the truck it would be mounted on, using the factory values above.
| Donor wheel | Target truck | Donor ET | Target factory ET | Wheel moves |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tacoma 17x7.5 | Silverado 1500 | ET30 | ET24 | 6 mm further in |
| 4Runner 17x7.5 | Silverado 1500 | ET15 | ET24 | 9 mm further out |
| Silverado 17x8 | Tacoma | ET24 | ET30 | 6 mm further out |
| 2022 Tundra 18x8 | Silverado 1500 | ET60 | ET24 | 36 mm further in |
| 2022 Tundra 18x8 | Tacoma | ET60 | ET30 | 30 mm further in |
| Cybertruck 20x9 | Silverado 1500 | ET58 | ET24 | 34 mm further in |

Offset is the second filter in any 6x139.7 wheel interchange. The movement is calculated as the donor ET minus the target ET. A shift of 6 to 9 mm is usually small enough to judge by eye. A shift of 30 mm or more can put the tire on the control arm or the brake caliper, so use our offset and backspacing calculator before you decide.
Look-alike patterns that do not fit
Two other truck patterns are close enough in name to cause mistakes. The Ford F-150 uses 6x135 with an 87.1 mm center bore, which is 4.7 mm smaller on the bolt circle than 6x139.7, and its wheels must not be forced onto 6x139.7 studs. The Chevrolet Colorado from 2015 until the 2023 redesign uses 6x120 with a 66.9 mm bore, so only the newer 2023 Colorado shares the Silverado 6x139.7 hub. See the 2021 Ford F-150 wheel specs for the full numbers.
Forged wheels sized for your truck
If a swap turns out to need rings, new nuts and an offset compromise, ordering a wheel made for your truck is often simpler. ANKUSI forged wheels are made to order from 6061-T6 aluminum, so the bolt pattern, center bore, width and offset are set for your hub and you do not need rings.
A machined silver 5-slot dish beadlock wheel is listed for both the Tacoma and the Silverado 1500, which shows how one design is built to either hub. A graphite 5-slot dish forged wheel suits the 4Runner and Tacoma, and a polished bolted-ring beadlock wheel is built for the Colorado and Silverado.
Tell us your truck and year before you order. We confirm the bolt pattern, center bore and offset first, then build the set. Production takes 20-25 days and sea freight 30-35 days, and prices start from $220 per wheel. Request a quote or browse the off-road forged wheel range.

For a Land Cruiser or Lexus GX build on the same bolt circle, a gloss black 6-spoke forged wheel is also available. Beadlock builds sit in the off-road beadlock category.
How we checked these numbers
Each bolt pattern and center bore above was matched against at least two sources: the ANKUSI fitment database, the Wheel-Size reference data and published retailer fitment tables. The 2022 Tundra was a new Toyota generation, and its hub is about 95 mm in every source we found, with 95.1 and 95.2 both in use.
Where only one source gave a value, such as the lug thread on some models, the table says "Check the nut" instead of guessing.
The wider dataset behind this article is on our wheel fitment dataset page and the 6x139.7 bolt pattern guide, and every Toyota truck year is listed on the Toyota Tundra fitment hub. Use all of it as a starting point for any 6x139.7 wheel interchange, then measure the wheel in your hands.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will Toyota Tacoma wheels fit a Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
They can, with conditions. Both trucks use 6x139.7, but a Tacoma wheel has a 106.1 mm bore and the Silverado hub is 78.1 mm, so you need a 106.1 to 78.1 mm hub ring. The Tacoma wheel is also drilled for M12x1.5 nuts while the Silverado uses M14x1.5, so check the nut seat first.
Will Silverado wheels fit a Toyota Tacoma?
No. A Silverado wheel has a 78.1 mm center bore and a Tacoma hub is 106.1 mm, so the wheel cannot slide over the hub face. A ring only fills a gap that is too big, never a bore that is too small, so this swap does not work with any ring.
Are 2022 and newer Tundra wheels the same as older Tundra wheels?
No. Tundras from 2007 to 2021 use a 5x150 bolt pattern, while the 2022 and newer Tundra uses 6x139.7 with a bore of about 95 mm. The two generations do not bolt together, and the newer truck also carries ET60 factory offsets.
Do I need hub-centric rings when swapping 6x139.7 wheels?
Yes, whenever the wheel bore is larger than the hub. A ring of the right inner and outer diameter keeps the wheel centered so the load rides on the hub and the nuts only clamp. Without it the wheel is held by the nuts alone, and vibration is common.
Is 6x5.5 the same as 6x139.7?
Yes. The bolt pattern 6x5.5 uses inches, and 5.5 inches equals 139.7 mm, so the two names describe the same six-lug circle. The name does not tell you the center bore or lug thread, which still vary between Chevrolet, Toyota and Tesla trucks.
Can Ford F-150 wheels fit a 6x139.7 truck?
No. The F-150 uses 6x135 with an 87.1 mm bore, and its bolt circle is 4.7 mm smaller than 6x139.7. Forcing those wheels onto 6x139.7 studs leaves the nuts off-center, so they should not be fitted without a bolt pattern change.
