Forged Wheel Finishes and Custom Colours
Every ANKUSI wheel is forged, machined and then finished to order, so the finish is chosen per set rather than taken from stock. Below are the finishes in our catalogue, what each one suits, and how to ask for a colour that is not listed.
Finishes in our catalogue
Bronze
Bronze is the classic motorsport colour for forged wheels: it contrasts with almost every body colour, hides brake dust better than silver and suits white, grey, blue and black cars especially well. Our bronze range runs from matte and satin bronze to brighter bronze-gold and transparent copper tints.
Gold
Gold finishes range from flat matte gold to transparent and frozen gold tints that let the machined aluminium show through. They are a strong choice for black, white and dark green cars and for anyone who wants the wheels to be the focal point.
Matte Black
Matte and satin black give a low-gloss, stealth look that keeps the focus on the spoke shape. The finish shows less swirl marking than gloss black and suits both off-road builds and dark performance cars.
Gloss Black
Gloss black is the most requested finish in our catalogue. It is easy to clean, matches factory black trim packages and works on any body colour, from white SUVs to dark sports cars.
Silver
Silver is the closest match to factory wheels and the safest choice if you want an upgrade that still looks OEM. The range covers matte silver, bright and hyper silver, each clear-coated over the forged aluminium.
Brushed Silver
Brushed finishes are machined and hand-brushed so the grain of the forged aluminium stays visible under a clear coat. It is a premium look that sits between plain silver and full polish.
Chrome
Chrome and black chrome finishes give a mirror-like surface for show builds, luxury sedans and trucks. Chrome needs a little more care in winter, so we recommend it mainly for summer or show use.
Gunmetal and Gray
Gunmetal and gray sit between silver and black: dark enough to look aggressive, light enough to show spoke detail. This group includes metallic gray, light gunmetal, bright gray and transparent gray tints.
White
Gloss white wheels are a bold motorsport and JDM look. They work best on dark or brightly coloured cars and are popular for track builds and show cars.
Polished
Polished and mirror-polished wheels are hand-finished to a high shine and then clear-coated. They suit luxury cars, classic builds and anyone who wants maximum brightness without chrome plating.
Two-Tone
Two-tone wheels combine two finishes on one wheel, for example a gloss black face with a machined or gunmetal accent, or a coloured barrel with a black face. Any colour pairing can be requested.
Transparent Tint
Transparent (candy) finishes are tinted clear coats over brushed or machined aluminium, so the metal texture shows through the colour. Popular tints include transparent gray, gold, copper, red and black.
Colored
Red, blue, orange, yellow and beige wheels for builds that need to stand out. Any colour can be matched to a paint code or sample during production.
Custom colours and colour matching
If the colour you want is not listed, send a paint code, a photo of a colour sample or a picture of a finished wheel you like. Our finishing team confirms whether it can be matched, and whether it changes the price or the delivery time, before anything is produced.
- Two-tone finishes combine a painted face with a machined, brushed or polished area, for example a gloss black face with a machined lip.
- Transparent tints are applied over brushed or machined aluminium so the metal texture shows through the colour.
- The finish is applied after machining, so it does not change the bolt pattern, centre bore or offset you order.
