- On a performance car, the usual reasons to go forged are lower unsprung weight, a tighter wheel-to-fender fit and room for bigger brakes.
- Many FL5 owners drop to an 18-inch wheel for track days to fit a taller, grippier tyre; the factory Brembo front calipers set the minimum inner barrel shape.
- Factory brakes listed in our guide: Brembo 4-piston fixed front caliper, 40mm pistons (OEM, Honda Type R). Spoke and barrel clearance is checked against them on the drawing.
- Hardware: the car uses M14x1.5 lug nuts. Tell us if you are fitting aftermarket hardware so the seat type matches.
