Position: the factory Honda Civic wheel (18x8 ET45) sits 1 mm further in at the outer edge and 11 mm further from the suspension at the inner edge, compared with the factory Honda Accord wheel (19x8.5 ET50). The Honda Civic factory wheel is smaller in diameter (18 inch) than the Honda Accord wheel (19 inch), so check that it clears the Honda Accord brake calipers.

- Check that the spokes clear the brake caliper by at least 3 mm.
- Keep the overall tyre diameter within about 3% of factory so the speedometer and stability systems read correctly.
- Check that the load rating of the wheel covers the heavier car; wheels from a lighter model may be rated too low.
- Torque the lug nuts or bolts to the value for the car you are fitting them to.
