How to Read Wheel Offset & Measurements

Use these two references before ordering: the left diagram shows where each spec (PCD, center bore, offset, width and diameter) is measured on the wheel; the right diagram shows how positive, zero and negative offset shift the wheel face relative to the hub centerline.

ANKUSI Engineering Expert Advice

The 2027 Telluride runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern — 5x4.5″ if you are reading a listing in inches, and the lug pattern most owners are searching for — with a 67.1mm center bore and 20x8.5J ET50 wheels, square front and rear. Two of those numbers deserve a second look. ET50 is high, which is normal for a transverse-engine three-row and the reason a wheel that looks correct on a body-on-frame SUV will sit visibly sunken here. And the fastener is M14x1.5, not the M12 used on most 5x114.3 vehicles, so lug nuts do not carry over from other 5x114.3 fitments.

The Telluride is also the one vehicle in this range where going bigger does not cost inner clearance. OE backspacing is 6.72″. Our Flush Fitment reference of 22x9.5J ET35 works out to 6.63″, and the Maximum Aggressive 22x10.0J ET30 to 6.68″ — both marginally shallower than factory. The whole change happens at the outer face: about 27.7mm more poke at flush, about 39mm at maximum. That reframes the question for this vehicle. Strut and inner liner clearance is not the constraint; fender lip coverage is, along with the front liner edge at full lock with the third row loaded.

It also means the practical limit is set by tire choice more than by the wheel. Moving from 20″ to 22″ while holding overall diameter forces a much shorter sidewall, and on a vehicle carrying 900–1250 kg per corner when fully loaded, sidewall is where most of the remaining ride compliance lives.

Where forging earns its place on a Telluride is unsprung mass at the extreme end. A 22x10.0J cast wheel rated for a fully loaded three-row is a heavy part, and every kilogram is felt in brake pedal feel and in how quickly the suspension settles over expansion joints with seven people aboard. Forging under a 10,000-ton press lets us hold the same load rating with less material in the spoke sections.

Kia Telluride OE Wheel Specs

The 2027 Kia Telluride (SUV) uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm center bore. Factory wheels are 20x8.5J at ET50 offset, front and rear.

Why the factory spec works for most owners:

  • Supports the vehicle's curb weight and load capacity
  • Preserves ground clearance for everyday and light off-road use
  • Balances ride comfort with cargo and passenger stability
  • Maintains clearance for the factory suspension travel and brake package

ANKUSI builds these wheels — we are the forging factory, not a reseller. For the Kia Telluride (2027) we drill the 5x114.3 pattern and cut the centre bore to 67.1mm on our own CNC line, so the wheel hub-centres on the car with no spacer rings, in whatever diameter, width and offset you specify.

Offset & Backspacing Reference

Backspacing is calculated as wheel width (in) ÷ 2 + offset (mm) ÷ 25.4 + 0.5 (flange allowance):

  • OE: 20x8.5J ET50 → ~6.72" backspacing
  • Flush: 22x9.5J ET35 → ~6.63" backspacing
  • Max: 22x10.0J ET30 → ~6.68" backspacing

Vehicles With the Same Hub as the Kia Telluride (5x114.3, 67.1 mm Bore)

In our database, 456 other vehicle entries from 30 makes use exactly the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 67.1 mm center bore. Factory wheels from these cars bolt on and center on the hub without rings; offset and width still have to be checked.

5x114.3 is used by 20.0% of the vehicle pages in our English fitment guide (1,300 of 6,503); 35.2% of those also use a 67.1 mm center bore.

Hub-Centric Rings for a 67.1 mm Center Bore

A wheel with a center bore larger than 67.1 mm needs a hub-centric ring. The most common combinations:

Wheel boreRing size
70.1 mm70.1 → 67.1 mm
70.5 mm70.5 → 67.1 mm
71.6 mm71.6 → 67.1 mm
72.6 mm72.6 → 67.1 mm
73.1 mm73.1 → 67.1 mm

ANKUSI forged wheels are bored to exactly 67.1 mm for this vehicle, so no ring is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What bolt pattern (PCD) does the Kia Telluride use?
The 2027 Kia Telluride uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
How many lug bolts does the Kia Telluride use?
The Kia Telluride uses a 5-lug bolt pattern (5x114.3), so you need a 5-lug forged wheel to bolt straight on.
What is the center bore size on the Kia Telluride?
The Kia Telluride's center bore is 67.1mm. If an aftermarket wheel has a larger center bore than this, hub-centric rings are recommended so the wheel centers on the hub itself rather than relying on the lug bolts alone.
What size are the factory (stock) wheels on the Kia Telluride?
Factory wheels on the Kia Telluride are 20x8.5J at ET50 offset, front and rear.
What is the biggest wheel size I can fit on my Kia Telluride without rubbing?
The most aggressive fitment we recommend without fender work is 22x10.0J at ET30 offset. Going beyond this typically causes rubbing under compression unless you roll the fenders or add camber correction.
What does a flush wheel fitment look like on the Kia Telluride?
For a flush look with minimal to no rubbing, we recommend 22x9.5J at ET35 offset as a starting point on a stock or mildly lowered Kia Telluride.
Do I need wheel spacers for my Kia Telluride?
No. ANKUSI forges each wheel to your exact target offset, including the flush or max specs above, so you get the correct fitment without stacking spacers. Spacers are typically only used to push out an existing OE-offset wheel without replacing it, which isn't necessary when you're ordering a custom-offset forged wheel.
How do I calculate wheel backspacing for my Kia Telluride?
Backspacing (in inches) = wheel width (in) ÷ 2 + offset (mm) ÷ 25.4 + 0.5 (flange allowance). For example, the flush spec above works out to roughly 6.63" of backspacing.
What's the difference between wheel offset and backspacing?
Offset is the distance in millimeters from the wheel's true centerline to its mounting face (positive offset pulls the wheel in, negative pushes it out). Backspacing is the distance in inches from the mounting face to the back edge of the wheel barrel. They describe the same fitment from two different reference points, which is why ANKUSI lists both above — some shops and tuning guides quote offset, others quote backspacing.
Can I run staggered wheels (different sizes front and rear) on my Kia Telluride?
The Kia Telluride runs the same wheel size front and rear from the factory, so staggered fitment is not required. ANKUSI can still forge a staggered set (wider rear) on request if you want a more aggressive stance.

Wheel Installation Reference: Torque, Thread & TPMS

Thread & Fastener: M12x1.5, conical-seat lug nut.

Factory Torque Spec: 107-127 Nm (79-94 ft-lb). Range covers most Kia passenger cars and crossovers on M12x1.5 studs.

TPMS: TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) has been federally mandated on all new light vehicles sold in the US since the 2008 model year. If your wheels use OE-style sensors, have them transferred or cloned to the new wheels at installation.

Tire Pressure: Always set tire pressure to the value on your vehicle's tire placard (driver's doorjamb or glovebox), not the max PSI printed on the tire sidewall — this is trim- and tire-size-specific and stays the same reference point when you switch to a different wheel and tire combination.

Reference data compiled from published OEM service specifications and cross-checked against independent repair sources; always confirm against your owner's manual or door-jamb placard before installation.
