How to Read Wheel Offset & Measurements

Mini Clubvan OE Wheel Specs
The 2013 Mini Clubvan (Commercial Van) uses a 4x100 bolt pattern with a 56.5mm center bore. Factory wheels are 15x5.5J at ET42.
Why the factory spec works for most owners:
- Supports passenger and cargo load capacity
- Balances ride comfort with everyday practicality
- A widely used size for this vehicle class, supporting parts and tire availability
- Maintains clearance for the factory suspension and brake package
Flush Fitment
For a flush look with minimal rubbing, 16x7J ET38 is the recommended starting point on a stock or mildly lowered Mini Clubvan.
Maximum Aggressive Fitment
17x7.5J ET35 is a more aggressive reference setup. Beyond this, expect rubbing under compression without fender rolling or camber correction.
Real-World Fitment Notes
Commercial lowering springs; 16x7.0J ET38 steel/alloy wheels; heavy-duty brakes; Michelin Primacy 4 195/55 R16 tires. Note: Two-seater commercial delivery van based on the Clubman estate platform.

Decision Guide
Offset & Backspacing Reference
Backspacing is calculated as wheel width (in) ÷ 2 + offset (mm) ÷ 25.4 + 0.5 (flange allowance):
- OE: 15x5.5J ET42 → ~4.9″ backspacing
- Flush: 16x7J ET38 → ~5.5″ backspacing
- Max: 17x7.5J ET35 → ~5.63″ backspacing
A Note on Clearance
Final clearance depends on the exact tire model, suspension height, brake package, alignment and vehicle tolerances. A physical test fit is recommended before production.
