ANKUSI Engineering Expert Advice

Nissan Sentra wheel specs for 2026: 17x7.0J at ET40, square front and rear, on a 5x114.3 bolt pattern (5x4.5″ lug pattern), a 66.1mm center bore, and M12x1.25 nuts. If you are cross-referencing figures written for an older Sentra, check the thread pitch before you order fasteners — M12x1.25 is Nissan’s standard and does not interchange with the M12x1.5 used by most of the domestic competition.

The Sentra is the tightest case in this range, and the constraint is inboard rather than outboard. OE backspacing is 5.57″. Our Flush Fitment reference of 18x8.0J ET35 comes out at 5.88″ — 0.31″, about 7.9mm, further toward the strut — while adding only around 17.7mm of poke at the outer face. The Maximum Aggressive reference, 18x8.5J ET30, sits at 5.93″ backspacing and roughly 29mm outboard of stock. On a compact front-drive sedan with MacPherson struts, that inboard number is what you verify first: the fender opening has room the suspension does not.

There is no honest 19″ reference we can publish for a stock-height Sentra without also specifying fender and tire changes, so we do not publish one. 18x8.5J ET30 is the end of the bolt-on range.

The upside is that 7.0J is narrow, which leaves genuine, well-tested width headroom. A forged 18x8.0J can land close to the weight of the factory 17″ cast wheel rather than well above it — the unusual case where an owner gets the visual upgrade without paying for it in unsprung mass. It only works if the wheel is machined hub-centric to the 66.1mm bore; on a car this light, hub rings and the vibration that follows them are felt immediately.

Nissan Sentra OE Wheel Specs

The 2026 Nissan Sentra (Compact Sedan) uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 66.1mm center bore. Factory wheels are 17x7.0J at ET40 offset, front and rear.

Why the factory spec works for most owners:

  • Balances ride comfort with everyday fuel efficiency
  • A widely used size in this segment, so tire and wheel availability stays strong
  • Keeps unsprung weight low for stable, predictable handling
  • Maintains clearance for the factory brake calipers and suspension components

ANKUSI builds these wheels — we are the forging factory, not a reseller. For the Nissan Sentra (2026) we drill the 5x114.3 pattern and cut the centre bore to 66.1mm on our own CNC line, so the wheel hub-centres on the car with no spacer rings, in whatever diameter, width and offset you specify.

Offset & Backspacing Reference

Backspacing is calculated as wheel width (in) ÷ 2 + offset (mm) ÷ 25.4 + 0.5 (flange allowance):

  • OE: 17x7.0J ET40 → ~5.57" backspacing
  • Flush: 18x8.0J ET35 → ~5.88" backspacing
  • Max: 18x8.5J ET30 → ~5.93" backspacing

Vehicles With the Same Hub as the Nissan Sentra (5x114.3, 66.1 mm Bore)

In our database, 222 other vehicle entries from 9 makes use exactly the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 66.1 mm center bore. Factory wheels from these cars bolt on and center on the hub without rings; offset and width still have to be checked.

5x114.3 is used by 20.0% of the vehicle pages in our English fitment guide (1,300 of 6,503); 17.3% of those also use a 66.1 mm center bore.

Hub-Centric Rings for a 66.1 mm Center Bore

A wheel with a center bore larger than 66.1 mm needs a hub-centric ring. The most common combinations:

Wheel boreRing size
66.6 mm66.6 → 66.1 mm
67.1 mm67.1 → 66.1 mm
70.1 mm70.1 → 66.1 mm
70.5 mm70.5 → 66.1 mm
73.1 mm73.1 → 66.1 mm

ANKUSI forged wheels are bored to exactly 66.1 mm for this vehicle, so no ring is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What bolt pattern (PCD) does the Nissan Sentra use?
The 2026 Nissan Sentra uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
How many lug bolts does the Nissan Sentra use?
The Nissan Sentra uses a 5-lug bolt pattern (5x114.3), so you need a 5-lug forged wheel to bolt straight on.
What is the center bore size on the Nissan Sentra?
The Nissan Sentra's center bore is 66.1mm. If an aftermarket wheel has a larger center bore than this, hub-centric rings are recommended so the wheel centers on the hub itself rather than relying on the lug bolts alone.
What size are the factory (stock) wheels on the Nissan Sentra?
Factory wheels on the Nissan Sentra are 17x7.0J at ET40 offset, front and rear.
What is the biggest wheel size I can fit on my Nissan Sentra without rubbing?
The most aggressive fitment we recommend without fender work is 18x8.5J at ET30 offset. Going beyond this typically causes rubbing under compression unless you roll the fenders or add camber correction.
What does a flush wheel fitment look like on the Nissan Sentra?
For a flush look with minimal to no rubbing, we recommend 18x8.0J at ET35 offset as a starting point on a stock or mildly lowered Nissan Sentra.
Do I need wheel spacers for my Nissan Sentra?
No. ANKUSI forges each wheel to your exact target offset, including the flush or max specs above, so you get the correct fitment without stacking spacers. Spacers are typically only used to push out an existing OE-offset wheel without replacing it, which isn't necessary when you're ordering a custom-offset forged wheel.
How do I calculate wheel backspacing for my Nissan Sentra?
Backspacing (in inches) = wheel width (in) ÷ 2 + offset (mm) ÷ 25.4 + 0.5 (flange allowance). For example, the flush spec above works out to roughly 5.88" of backspacing.
What's the difference between wheel offset and backspacing?
Offset is the distance in millimeters from the wheel's true centerline to its mounting face (positive offset pulls the wheel in, negative pushes it out). Backspacing is the distance in inches from the mounting face to the back edge of the wheel barrel. They describe the same fitment from two different reference points, which is why ANKUSI lists both above — some shops and tuning guides quote offset, others quote backspacing.
Can I run staggered wheels (different sizes front and rear) on my Nissan Sentra?
The Nissan Sentra runs the same wheel size front and rear from the factory, so staggered fitment is not required. ANKUSI can still forge a staggered set (wider rear) on request if you want a more aggressive stance.

Wheel Installation Reference: Torque, Thread & TPMS

Thread & Fastener: M12x1.25, conical-seat lug nut.

Factory Torque Spec: 103-122 Nm (76-90 ft-lb). Range covers most Nissan passenger cars and crossovers on M12x1.25 studs.

TPMS: TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) has been federally mandated on all new light vehicles sold in the US since the 2008 model year. If your wheels use OE-style sensors, have them transferred or cloned to the new wheels at installation.

Tire Pressure: Always set tire pressure to the value on your vehicle's tire placard (driver's doorjamb or glovebox), not the max PSI printed on the tire sidewall — this is trim- and tire-size-specific and stays the same reference point when you switch to a different wheel and tire combination.

Reference data compiled from published OEM service specifications and cross-checked against independent repair sources; always confirm against your owner's manual or door-jamb placard before installation.
