The Ask
Beadlock wheels come up constantly in off-road conversations and get misunderstood just as often. A true beadlock uses a bolted outer ring to physically clamp the tire bead to the wheel, letting you air down to very low pressure on the trail for better traction without the tire unseating from the rim — something a standard wheel simply can’t do safely. This Land Cruiser build was a genuine trail rig, not a street cosmetic build, which is the right use case for the real thing.

Finish: bright polished beadlock ring over a machined center — a bolder look than the matte finishes we usually recommend for a dedicated trail rig, so this owner accepted more visible trail wear in exchange for a wheel that stands out against the truck’s body.
Getting the Stance Right
ET0 (zero offset) was chosen for clearance over the factory suspension arms at full articulation, not for looks — off-road fitment decisions are driven by suspension travel and steering geometry first, stance second, which is the opposite priority order from most street builds.
On the Trail
The honest trade-off with a true beadlock is unsprung weight — the bolted ring adds mass a standard wheel doesn’t carry, which is a fair exchange for low-pressure capability on the trail but not something we’d recommend for a truck that’s 90% street use.
