The Ask

A G-Class doesn’t need help looking the part, but this owner wanted wheels that could genuinely back up the vehicle’s off-road reputation rather than just visually matching it — real load rating, real ground clearance consideration, not a street wheel with an off-road-styled face bolted onto a vehicle that never leaves pavement.

Getting the Stance Right

We stayed close to factory offset (ET50 versus the stock ET55) specifically to avoid increasing scrub radius on a vehicle with a solid front axle — unlike an independent suspension platform, a solid-axle truck is considerably less forgiving of aggressive offset changes, since it affects steering feedback and bump-steer characteristics more directly.

Finish and Detail

Gloss black over a forged 6-spoke design rated for the G-Class’s higher curb weight and genuine off-road load cases — the load rating here isn’t cosmetic, it’s a real engineering spec that matters if this truck actually goes off pavement with cargo and passengers aboard.

On the Trail and On the Road

Keeping offset conservative meant no compromise to the truck’s factory steering geometry or off-road articulation, which was the right call for a vehicle that genuinely gets used off-road rather than one that only looks like it does.
