The Ask

A 911 owner wanted a finish that would still look sharp after a season of daily driving — not a garage queen, an actual driver. That request steered us straight to a brushed finish rather than the polished or gloss-black options most 911 builds default to, since brushed texture hides the fine swirl marks and light scuffing that daily use inevitably creates.

Getting the Stance Right

Porsche’s factory staggered fitment philosophy is aggressive to begin with, so we didn’t push this build much past OEM-plus: 20×8.5J front, 20x11J rear, both roughly 0.5″ wider than the factory equivalent at a comparable offset. The goal was filling the arch a little more, not chasing an extreme stance.

Finish and Detail

The brushed texture runs directionally across the spoke faces, sealed under a clear coat rated for the same UV and chemical exposure as a painted finish — brushed doesn’t mean unprotected, it’s a texture applied before the same clear-coat process any other finish gets.

On the Road

Six months and several thousand kilometers in, the brushed finish still looks essentially like day one, while a polished equivalent would already be showing water spotting and fine scratching by this point. For a car that’s actually driven rather than trailered, this is the finish choice we’d make again. Contact us to discuss finish options for a daily-driven sports car.
